From a young age, I’ve loved both computers and art. I can remember asking my parents for a laptop one Christmas when I was about ten. Christmas morning came and I was utterly distraught to find I had been given some sort of ‘speak-n-spell’ and not the Dell I had my heart set on. Eventually, my family ended up getting me a computer and I began to create birthday cards, signs, and CD covers for friends and family. I was a graphic designer even before I knew what that was.
When it came time to choose a career path, graphic design seemed like the obvious choice. While attending UB, I fell in love with Buffalo and decided to make this great city my home. I’ve worked as a graphic designer in the marketing department for companies as diverse as AAA of Western New York to Garrett Leather Corporation. There, I applied my skills across many applications (trade-show booths, ads, branding/logos).
I joined Onion Studio as a graphic designer in Febuary of 2016. My background and skills in design and marketing are a great fit with Robyn and Dylan’s collaborative, creative philosophy. Adding in my strong ability to organize information in visually appealing ways, I am excited to grow with Onion Studio. It feels like the right time to be a part of creative work with a personalized feel for the variety of Onion’s clients.
